i am very disappointed in the purchase of this iron.

This iron is a total disappointment. It has leaked water from the very first time I used it. I was expecting to have the greatest ironing experience ever but no. I own an Audi and after research of the iron learning it was German made I thought it would be in a class with my Audi as far as performance. Not close.

VERY dissappointed in this product

VERY dissatisfied with my Rowenta Model DW8090 Iron. It does well on steam, but on dry setting it will not heat. I sent it to a Rowenta service center and got two different answers when I called because it was taking so long. One person told me they had to order a part and it was taking longer. Then when I called Rowenta after finally getting it back and it still was not heating on dry setting, I was told they could not find anything wrong with it. ??? It does fine on steam setting, but on dry setting it does not heat well at all. I placed it on the linen setting and put it down on a piece of synthetic fabric for 15 seconds and it did nothing to the fabric. I have placed it on a piece of cotton for as long as 20 seconds and when I lifted the iron I could place my hand where the iron had been setting for 20 seconds. When I called the Rowenta company I got no results except to send it back to them for another check. By the way, it is still under warranty,.

VERY DISAPPOINTED4 WITH MY NEW DW1150

I am fed up with leaking irons and was really hoping that this iron would be different. It is NOT! In the steam setting the iron leaks a lot and I have to put the iron on dry and iron out all the water on my garments. This is really frustrating.
