This steam iron steams really well

I only use the steam feature on all the irons that I've had and this one is without question the best steam iron I have ever owned.

I bought this about a month ago and am generally pleased. It is the lower version and some of the features are not as easy to use as my previous version, but the tendency of Rowentas to leak water and stop working convinced me to go for the less expensive version. The steam control feature is particularly disappointing because it seems to be either off or on, no adjustment levels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I Would not recommend this iron or buy again

I bought this iron a month ago, read that it does not leak, and it does leak and gets my clothes wet. I use distilled water, and it still leaks and makes my cloths]es wet while i iron, and I iron everything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good iron, except…

I am very happy with my Rowenta; the steam is generous, the sole plate has many more steam holes than most other irons. The water tank is large. But the one and only issue I have is the water tank color is so dark I can’t be sure if I filled the tank all the up until it overflows. Holding the iron next to the window helps, but awkward as I have to hold both the iron and water jug at the same time and the weight on my arms is very uncomfortable. I would recommend Rowenta to all my friends except none of them iron, at least not like I do (once per week.) Honestly I have recommended Rowenta to a number of people over the years and when they get their own they love it like I do. My last Rowenta last more than 10 years, until the cat knocked it off the ironing board while I was putting laundry away. After that it leaked a lot.

I like the iron, but mine has a dark blue top area and black cord, and you can't see the water level at all. I wish it was the color of the picture here. Also, the questions below can't be answered unless it has been used for a while, which it hasn't yet.You should

I paid a lot of money for an iron that only lasted 1 year! The repair man said that you put in an o-ring that was not compatible with water. In a steam iron ?? Then you don't sell the parts to fix it!! What a rip off!!
