I got this as a birthday gift because my partner knows I love to sing and write music. It may not be the best microphone on the market but it's a really lovely mic for all intents and purposes. It picks up sounds really well, even to the point where it can pick up the sound of my desktop humming all the way across the room if I want it to. Easy to use, simple to set up, and a wonderful gift to receive, I would recommend this mic for the average person looking to find a better-than-average microphone.
