I bought the trace and a friend of mine has the S80. We took the two on a college spring break trip and would test the two against one another and on multiple people. They gave consistent results with one another and each reading seemed on par with how much alcohol each person had consumed. I definitely recommend this product.

This product looks and feels great. Then it stops working. I get a false reading on the batteries ALL THE TIME. Popping the back off and flipping the batteries usually works but who wants to do that? The memory button NEVER worked. Sometimes I fell like I have to blow for ten seconds and then it takes almost a minute, sometimes, to process. It seems cool to show off to your friends but I would NOT trust is. Just think, if the battery sensor does not even work, why would the alcohol sensor?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great apparatus. I use it wisely to determine a responsible range to drive after a couple of drinks. You can find your baseline by experimenting at home so you know how alcohol interacts in your body using this device.

I got a DUI and I had to have a unit installed in my truck in order to drive. I got this unit to use to double down.....There are times I think I'm fine to drive....Then I test and I say OH NO I won't be driving. This unit is way more on the my 3-year-old old one, The S70. Glad I upgraded!

This is a handy tool to help you determine your limits for safe driving after having a beer or two. Hubby and I tried it with one beer and a meal. We both had readings of .03, well under the legal limit, but two would've put us just over at .06. We also waited an hour and took another reafing, predictably it went down to .02. This will be nice to test out with wine and mixed drinks too. Get one. Be safe and enjoy.

Purchased this a few months ago for those times when you've had a couple of drinks, and need to verify that you're OK to drive. Used it a couple of times and it works perfectly.
