Good oven but a few small issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this wall oven through Lowes and got it installed by them two months ago. Overall it has been ok, good deal for the price. But I want to point out a few issues that could have been easily fixed. 1. The heating coil is only present on the top, unlike my old oven which evenly distributed the heat through both top and bottom coils. As a result of the top heating too much and no heat in the bottom, the first several cakes and pizzas all got burnt very badly with the smoke alarm also going off.
2. The beep that goes off when baking is done, is not loud enough. Our previous oven, the beep was loud enough to be heard upstairs but not this one. It could result in overcooked or burnt dishes.
3. Once we set the bake time, the display always goes to temperature. It seems like no matter what we do, we cannot have the bake time display till its done. Why would it default to temperature when once set, all we care is how many more minutes remaining? At least give an option to have the remaining time display till its done.

SriP, your range has a hidden bake element that you cannot see. Please make sure you are waiting for the preheat light to turn off and the oven to beep, before starting your baking (page 10 #3 under setting bake in your Owner’s Manual). Models like yours (with a hidden bake element) take a little longer to preheat. Times ranging from 10 to 17 minutes are normal to preheat to 350°F. When you are using the timed bake or delay start features, the oven temperature is shown in the display (page 11 in NOTE). To see cook time remaining press bake time. To see the time of day, press clock. When using the minute timer feature, the display will count down the time remaining (page 9 in NOTE). To view other functions, like temperature, press the key for that mode. While your range can be adjusted to have no audible alert, the volume is not adjustable. Your feedback is reviewed online by our product specialists, who I'm sure will find value in your observations. Should there be anything we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to reconnect with us directly by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 877-435-3287. Preheating takes forever
on November 20, 2014

.Thought that the oven was broken. Told by the tech that the design was changed to have the element under the floor which takes forever to warm up. About 45-60 minutes to achieve 425. Other than the preheating issue we love the oven

Looks nice and lots of space inside

It takes FOREVER for it to warm up and the fan runs a long time after you are done baking. Love the handles on the rack, what a great idea. We bought it because we are selling the house and upgrading appliances and got a great deal on the price.

Hi Niecyal. We greatly appreciate you sharing your design commentary on your new wall oven, model FFEW2725PS. The fan will run long enough to bring the internal components down to a safe temperature. However, our team will evaluate your review to help in implementing future design improvements to our product lines. Should you need assistance, please call us directly. Best Regards, Anna
