A fan blows hot air into the klitchen the entire time the oven is on and until the oven cools down. To reach 350 degrees takes 10 minutes.

Extremely noisy, blows out hot air, slow to heat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this oven and I'm not sure how I will live with it now. First, the literature indicates it has a fan that runs after it is off, but the fact is it runs the entire time it is on and continues after it is off. It is very loud, much louder than even my dishwashe. It it is very distracting while working in the kitchen and can be heard in other rooms. I have never heard an oven make so much noise. Second, the fan blows straight out into my face. The weather is rainy and cold now, but I can't imagine how it will heat the kitchen and house when the weather gets hot. Regardless, it is very unpleasant to walk past and feel this rush of air in your face. Third, it also seems to take an excessive amount of time to warm up and reach temperature. Very disappointing for a purchase that should be very exciting.

Debbie62, I am sad to hear of your displeasure with the wall oven. A cooling fan inside the upper rear part above the oven provides cooling to the oven’s electrical and electronic components. If the oven has been operating at high temperatures, the fan will continue to run after the oven is turned off until the oven has cooled. The oven vent is located under the control panel. When the oven is on, warm air passes through this vent. This venting is necessary for proper air circulation in the oven and good baking results. Steam or moisture may appear near the oven vent, this is normal. Do not block oven vent. Use caution to avoid burns. Most if not all wall ovens today vent out the front of the unit, either above or below the door. I am not aware of any externally vented wall ovens on the market today. Models with the hidden bake feature (like yours) take a little longer to preheat. Times ranging from 10 to 17 minutes are normal to preheat to 350° F. Keep the oven door closed during preheat to minimize the time required. I hope you grow to love your wall oven! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

I really don't like how the hot air escapes thru vent on upper oven it heats up the entire kitchen

This wall oven is the perfect replacement for my 1963 Frigidaire 24 inch double wall oven. I love the new features and the look. It's amazing how it makes such a huge difference to the look of my kitchen! I've bought the 36 inch stainless steel induction cooktop to compliment this oven... I love the pair!

I replaced old Frigidaire with my nice shiny ones. Ovens slipped into the space with no problem. I don't cook much, but have used a couple of times and they are wonderful, and make me look like am a chef!!!! Jerrie W
