Frigidaire Oven

I bought this oven to replace an oven that we had for 13 years and the replacement part was not available. This oven was bigger than our previous oven (was unable to locate a new oven that was the size of our old oven), so we had to modify our cabinet. This oven take a bit longer to preheat and there is always a fan running when its on, like its in convection mode, but it does not have a convection mode option. Oven cooked food really fast the first 2 months we had it, and now it seems to cook for more within normal average times recommended in recipes. The biggest disappointment is the fan that runs almost continuously when the oven is on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my new oven for about a month and I really do like it. It replaced an older model oven that was so out dated and about 45 years old that completely quit. It has one feature I will never use and wish it had been mentioned before I purchased. If that feature is accidentally, I will have to get my papers out to reset. This could happen because we use my house for family dinners and others use the oven. I can only cross my fingers that this doesn't happen.

Too noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this oven for about 2 months now. The oven fan stays on the whole time you have the oven turned on. It is loud and very annoying. My kitchen is small, so when I'm preparing my meal, if I have the oven on, not only do I have the noise of the fan right behind me, but the air from the constant fan running hits me right in the back of my neck. I am very sorry I didn't know about these annoying features ahead of time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oh Oh Popsicle! I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with some of the features on your new purchase. The fan and ventilation are necessary to assist with the oven cooling down and to allow heat to escape the range, so that it doesn’t over heat. Although you may not be satisfied with these two features. Your wall oven has other great features, such as the easy ready select controls. Quite pleased!

I especially like the ability to set a timed bake then have it automatically switch to a holding temperature of 77°C (170°F) which is great for foods that must be kept out of the "danger zone (4.4°C-60°C)".. Very happy also that I'm not restricted to the Fahrenheit temperature scale. I'm pleased also by the evenness of the broiling unit. Far superior to the unit that this replaced.

Excellent oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really thrilled I purchased this oven and I have enjoyed cooking with it. I have even cleaned it twice. My one fault to find with it is that the door does not stay ajar when I use the broiler. I realize it has an inner fan, but I still prefer to have the door open a bit.
