Wonderful little machine for starters!

My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that, although the machine is top rate as far as stitching and simplicity in usage, it is small. It will definitely make you want a machine with a larger hoop area if you do names or sayings of any kind. My only complaint is I never have gotten the auto threader to work on mine. But it hinders me very little. Love the way it stitches!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for a beginner

I was given this machine as a gift. It has delivered as I would expect something carrying the name Brother should! I don't have thread break (unless I accidentally snip the wrong thread, lol), I don't have design issues, and the machine is so incredibly easy to use!
The only almost issue I have had is with loading the bobbin. You have to make sure you have your thread under the tension disc, and that is not a given. You really have to carefully run it under, and if you don't, you will not be able to properly embroider.
Also, the machine only does 4x4 or smaller, so that is why I classify it as a beginner machine.
I love learning and embroidering with it. I have made several things, and everything has turned out wonderful! This machine has done everything I would have hoped when I had the initial desire to begin embroidering! My satisfaction with this machine will definitely have me turning to Brother if/when I decide it's time for a bigger hoop!

Great purchase

Because I have an expensive machine that specializes in garments and quilting, I was dismayed to discover that I had developed an itch to try an embroidery machine. I did not want to invest in another huge machine. For $400 I found this machine and because I am an organized Apple user, I find when I discipline myself to carefully arrange the embroidery files I purchase online, that it is easy to upload one from a flash drive to the sewing machine. The machine sews beautifully and gives the warnings I need, i.e. "the bobbin thread is running out" Very very happy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great machine

Just love this machine. It is small and limited on the hoop size but perfect for a beginner. Makes me want to move up to a larger one. Have done some Disney designs and others. The customer service help was over the top also. Always got the answer in a very timely manner.

It's exactly what I wanted

I was hesitant about buying this machine. After learning about it, I found this machine is easy to use, great results I do wish it would make a larger pattern, but i'm going to enjoy this machine
