Love it, except...

I have completed a few Embroidery designs as well as embroidery/applique projects and I am very pleased with the performance of the PE540D, the auto needle threader is a wondrous thing to behold. It runs quietly. On the negative side, the selection of provided Disney designs is rather limited but does contain at least one of each of the FAB 5 with one of Daisy Duck and and a sampling of Pixar including Cars, Incredibles Nemo, Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. It would be nice to have a faster speed. Attaching the hoop is easy, but removing it is difficult. The instructions for removing the hoop are simple but not so in practice. Perhaps the addition of a spring to pop the frame off would be a nice factory addition. A lot of the after market designs available differ between 4x4 and 5x7. Considering the speed and design size I would have been happier with 770. All in all I am happy with the PE540D.

Great Bargain

This is a great little machine. Great for a beginner, I was able to sew out a design within an hour of getting it out of the package. Would sure like it if it had a USB port. Love the needle threader.

Frustrated

I got this for Christmas and have yet made a project. Wasted lots of thread. The bottom thread keeps showing on the top/right side of fabric. Hopefully you sends some tips. This is the only reason for the low rating. Im usually satisfied with brother products

Brothers the Best!

I have sold and owned brand name sewing machines and for me, Brother is the best quality and price! I have the P-Disney embroidery machine, serger, home sewing machine, and Knit King Knitter: all BROTHER! Love them and highly recommend them.

An ok starter embroidery

I have has this for less then a year and I already have a piece that has broken on it that shreds my thread while it's embroidering so I constantly have to rethread.
