This product is a disappointment

I think the product is built OK but I do not like the dark interior. I hate the buttons. They are the disappointment. The myplate.gov button is worthless. There is not warm button and the selections in snacks and reheat are not any that I use. I do not like the fan vents on top because things fall into them from the cabinet above. I do not feel the sensor cooking works for anything but plate reheating which seems to work out good most of the time. I thought GE was supposed to be better than the other brands but this time I am disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the express time feature and the 4 speed vent fan, I do not like the black interior, I do not like the 1000 watts of power. I find that I have to cook everything longer then with my 1100 watt microwave that died. It takes more pressure to get the express time features to work on this model compared to my other microwave. I assume I will eventually adjust but I do wish I had not purchased this.

Did not purchase because of dark interior

We went to the store intending to purchase it to replace an older GE microwave. We have always been satisfied with the features, quality and performance of GE microwaves that we have had, but the dark interior on the white microvave turned us off. We decided to wait to see if GE would realize that the dark interior was a negative and change to white for next year's model. Then we would gladly purchase one. If they don't make the change, we will be forced to buy another brand.

Great Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE Profile Microwave Oven is superior in both re-heating items and cooking meals. It is so easy to keep clean and is large enough for sizable food items. It has a solid feel about it and performs beautifully. The keypad is also easy to read and use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] disappointed with the controls of this microwave. missing features such as warm, and menu buttons are way too long to get through to cook specific items. This was an expensive microwave and although it works OK it is underpowered and inconvenient to use.

Don't like the dark interior.

We are currently shopping to replace our GE Profile that just quit after 10 years. We really like this model but the dark interior is such a turn off we will have to make a different choice. I'd like to say we would wait till the next year model comes out--hopefully with a white interior--but we have become dependent on our microwave and will just have to find a different model.
