No big hood needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks great with the GE Profile induction cooktop. Hides under the counter when not in use. Techies love how you press a button and it pops up. Seems to do a good job venting. The motor and piping did use up a lot of the cabinet space, but it was worth not having the big hood.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super easy to use! sometimes our up and down button gets a little stuck and takes a press or two to get it going, but the button has always been slightly broken, I just didn't take the time to have GE send me a replacement. Hides very nicely under the counter and works great with the GE 36" induction cooktop. Sometimes one of the sides scrapes when retracting up or down, but I have to believe this was more of an installation issue.Very powerful fan! Dimensions to install this and the cooktop were confusing online, but have the appliance in hand when they are installing the countertop and make any field cuts where necessary. My kitchen is so high tech! but doesn't look it!

Sleek, modern design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had one in my last home in combination with a GE gas cooktop and it was so great; we added one to our new home with the induction cooktop. My only complaint is that the controls are on a tethered remote which needs to be mounted seperately on the counter or cabinet. The downdraft before had its controls on the top cover panel; that was much simpler and so much less trouble when installing. As someone mentioned before; it does take up cabinet space, but they have reduced the size of the motor and fan from when I purchased our first downdraft in 2007.

Perfect Match

Replaced an older integrated venting system. This unit fits perfectly with my new cooktop. I purchased the smaller unit and it provides a great downdraft even at lowest setting. Installation was not as simple but I suspect the older unit wasn't installed perfectly. Overall I am very pleased with this product.

We have our down draft paired up with the GE induction cook top on our island. At first I thought it was a little over the top however it works great. I can tell you I use my vent in the last 3 weeks more then I've every used any type of vent. It helps with the oder and it's fairly quiet. We put our control pad on the face of the cabinet so we didn't have to cut another hole in our granite.

Great Downdraft

Although I have only had this downdraft for 26 days it is great. I had a downdraft before but this one really works the way a downdraft should. So glad we decided to buy a new one rather than fixing the old one.
