This thing is FAST (but expensive). Pop it in an older laptop and it'll bring new life.
Pros: speed!

New to the land of SSD's

Well I bought a two tickets on the SSD Samsung 850... And I feel safe and sound. I have bought a few other brands in the past. But I can say that the Samsung honestly just feels like it deserves its reputation. So far, the software that is included. Great value. The setup was easy. Registration. Simple. Overall WORHT IT!
(2) Samsung 850 Pro - 512GB installed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

There is no other choice for me when it comes to SSD drives. We use 850 Pros exclusively for our Medical Services company.

Incredibly easy to transfer previous SSD to.

I just purchased the 1TB one to replace my much smaller drive. I was concerned about how difficult it would be to clone and replace the other drive and still have all my settings etc. I was amazed at how easy it was! (Just remember to purchase, or have, the SATA to usb cable, because it doesn't come with it.)
I just followed the simple instructions that came with the drive and the disc that was included, cloned my existing drive, swapped them out, started up my computer and everything was there! Even the tabs on my browser that I had left open prior to the cloning.

As I play several games, I was concerned about my game settings being transferred. I was delighted when I logged into WoW that all of my game settings that were stored in my drive were also all there.
Easiest thing I have ever done to/with my computers.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I just installed it and have no information on how long/well it will last and continue to perform well.
Pros: easy to clone and replace old ssd, good replacement for my much smaller ssd

10Y Warranty SSD for < 50c per GB? Heck yeah!

We bought some samsung SSDs to replace aging spinning disks in our servers - definitely the way to go! Do I ever expect to be using this near the end of the warranty, no, but really what I want to avoid is having to replace disks every year.
