Incredible performance for a consumer 2.5' SATA SSD

This SSD is the best among comparable product especially from top tier vendor. It might not be cheapest but comparing the performance and other spec, i personally recommend 850 PRO. Worth it, if your prior consideration is performance, ease and functionality of management software (Samsung Magician). I read a lot of review before buying this SSD and had tried a lot of others. This is currently the best consumer SSD i used in this price range. I am extremely happy with this product.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, extremely well performance, low power consumption, well public reputation, spec as advertised by samsung

I love how the 850 PRO speeds up my AMD desktop computer

Pros: Very fast startup, Very easy to install using Samsung's Data Migration Software. I installed the 850 PRO by migrating my boot HDD to the 850 PRO and replacing the HDD (my C: drive) with the much faster 850 PRO. Everything went very smoothly in my Windows 10 AMD desktop.
Cons: Samsung could do a better job on instructing the user on how to prepare the system prior to the start of data migration. For example there should be a set of instructions informing the user to make sure the AHCI driver is loaded on the Windows 10 system prior to the start of data migration. If you don't use AHCI you will not get the maximum performance from your ssd. If you install the AHCI driver after migrating the data to the ssd and then replacing the hdd with the ssd, you may lose the ability to boot the computer from the ssd. Windows 10 does not install the AHCI driver in a fresh install of Windows 10. Samsung should have step by step instructions on what to do to make sure we get best performance for which the ssd was designed.

Very fast drive. Easy to clone with software provided. Great warranty. I'll be updating all my computers with these drives as needed.

I spent about a year reviewing many SSD's and settled on the SSD 850 PRO 2.5" SATA III 256GB. Setup was easy with the supplied migration software. The "Magician" software is simple to use, too, by the way. In other words, the "changeover" for me was painless.
As for speed, I can't speak more highly of the performance increase. Boot is half the time (60 seconds now). Thunderbird is my email client and it used to take about 60 seconds to make a guest appearance. Now it takes about 10 seconds. Navigating from program to program is so much quicker and response to various inputs are crispy quick. Keep in mind that since this laptop is 8 years old, its hardware is not capable of the speeds the SSD is capable of (about half the capability of the SSD is really being utilized). That's ok because the SSD made a huge difference in performance and I love it.
In summary, I'm very happy I purchased this SSD and would highly recommend it to those considering a SSD.

Load times are super fast and don't have the noise of an old rotating drive. 10 year warranty a plus. Highly recommend.
