Very pleaseed with this SSD so far! Fantastic boot up speed on my desktop. Using it as the primary drive for the OS and programs, while two regular 3TB drives are for data storage. I may upgrade to a 1TB Samsung SSD in the future if my computing needs require the extra space.
I purchased this make and model SSD for the long warranty of 10 years.

Great for audio engineers

I'm a audio engineer. I work in pro 12.5 and I got to say I love working with ssd's this one is great. My audio tracks pull's up faster and yes I record audio with this drive too. i have it in my mac pro 2010 desktop as an secondary drive. I have another ssd as a system drive also. I am really looking forward into buying the samsung 950 pro 512 GB for my system drive. And you gotta love the 10 year warranty this ssd comes with can not say no to that. Buy it you want lose.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, last forever

reliable and quiet...noticeable performance improvement but newer tech than the pc it went into so not "blazing speed"...
Pros: Durable
Cons: a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for

Fastest SATA based SSD on the consumer market. Price is a premium over the 850 EVO but a must for the power user. Highly recommended depending on use. Otherwise buy the EVO and save some money.

The Samsung Pro series is one of the, if not the, best SSD's on the market. With the price dropping, there's really no reason to not have your operating system on a high performance, high quality SSD. And this is it.
Pros: much faster than the drive that came with your pc

From 840 Pro to 850 Pro

My 840 pro was getting long in the tooth, and I was in need of more storage so I decided to upgrade to the the 850 pro. The 840 pro performed flawlessly for three years on my daily driver and now inhabits my PFSense router running 24/7, and it has not skipped a beat. Naturally after this experience I expect the same from the 850 pro, and so far it has met and exceeded my expectations. Samsung SSDs are simply the best in the industry and their reliability in my experience is unparalleled. I look forward to getting the same excellent performance with my new purchase. I always recommend Samsung SSD products because I know I wont be getting any surprise phone calls.
