As a single person, I was looking for something that: (a) met my high standard of expected service, and (b) would suit my esthetic/artistic senses. After weeks of searching - yes, I know it sounds silly to "search for weeks" for an electric kettle, BUT - I finally found the KitchenAid bright red, stainless, electric, auto-shut-off, 1.25 litre perfect-for-one-person kettle! First - it works great! Second - it looks great!

Having a built in screen to ensure that I never get anything in my water that I don't want is one of the best features and cleaning the screen is easy and readily accessible. great kettle untill it rusted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this kettle 5 months ago from crate and barrel and its rusted on top so badly I can barely open the top of the kettle. I wish I would've known this would happen. It's trash now.
