Had the R2-D2 21" Spinner for a couple years. I love it. Easy to locate if I check it in or great to have on-board. I always get curious looks, people pointing and occasionally a comment. I've taken on short hops within the US or a 2 week trips to Europe. I'll be getting the matching R2-D2 backpack as well. I know it's geared towards kids, but who cares! I love it!

Amazing carry ons - awful customer service

We purchased two of these carry on spinners - The BB8 and the R2-D2. Both are adorable, high quality, and surprisingly carry quite a lot. We carried them on a flight back from Orlando and they traveled well and my daughters loved pushing them around. The features are nice in them and the surface seems really sturdy to preserve the graphics so far. However, we had the worst customer service experience ever with American Tourister. We purchased these at a Star Wars convention directly from an American Tourister booth and was told we were given the great convention price of 10% off if we purchased two. When we got back to our hotel and I went online to look at registering them for the warranty, I see that if I had purchased them from the American Tourister website, they were 25% off for 1 and 30% off for 2. I immediately called American Tourister and was told sure, we will credit you the difference, call back on Monday to customer relations. I called that Monday and was told sorry, we can't help you since you didn't buy them off the website. I asked for a manager and was told again, sorry, can't help you. Try sending a letter (yes a letter, no phone number) to headquarters. Then I called the parent company, Samsonite, and was told again, too bad even though I bought them from American Tourister!! I was amazed. Samsonite at least told me to email questions@americantourister.com which I did, no response yet. So, again, love these little bags but really, really disappointed in the customer service. This company does not stand by its prices. I would understand if I had purchased them from a third party vendor, but it was direct from American Tourister. That booth should have just been selling them at the same price as the website to begin with. So disappointing and I am out $60. I would rate the bags 5 stars but took away 2 as American Tourister has not resolved my price questions.
