I already had the Boba Fett hard-sided carry-on spinner and love it so much, that I ordered the large R2-D2! I've not traveled with R2 yet, but I have full confidence that I'll be just as happy with it as I've been with Boba. I've flown with Boba numerous times, and am very impressed with how durable and roomy even it is. These pieces are extremely well-made. The outer zippers are so rugged and durable, that I regularly overstuff the Boba with no absolutely no worries that anything will split or break, even when flying. The R2 and Boba images and colors are top-notch, and I enjoy announcing to the world that I'm a HUGE 'Star Wars' fan! They're well worth the cost and I highly recommend!

I have the R2D2 spinner 21 and just bought the 28 (657784431). The 21 is great and I've only had an issue when I fly the tiny planes that don't have any place for luggage. The quality is great. It's a bag that should last a long time as long as it doesn't get mishandled If checked. For the 28, not sure how this will work since the airlines keep changing and charging more for less when checking a bag. If to love R2D2, you won't regret this purchase. Just be prepared to meet other Star Wars fans from the galaxy in your travels. Also read that the 21 will fit in the 28, but have not tried this yet.
