Leaks after 6 mos

I bought one several years ago and in about 6 mos it started leaking. I continued to us just as a dry iron. Then I discovered I could purchase a replacement part for the reservoir which I did. About 6 mos later, that is now leaking. Is it because I never un plug it?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The leaking can be related to how the iron was stored or used. If the iron is left unplugged, the heating element can be damaged over time, potentially causing the steam reservoir to leak as well. In this situation we recommend seeking professional assistance from one of our authorized service centers.
