It's just ok

I had to replace an older oven and microwave and really liked the looks of the GE Cafe series. I find the oven racks are not quite strong enough to easily slide in/out when using heavier roasting pans, you definitely need to use two hands and the racks still don't slide in smoothly-- at this price, the racks should have been made with thicker gauge metal. The electric panel is highly touch sensitive, and can turn off by accident. In addition, the panel is set so if you want to readjust the baking temperature, you have to press "bake" again before entering in a higher/lower temp. This step is unnecessary and seems to have been designed by an engineer who does not cook. At three months in, one of the stove-on indicator lights is burnt out, I didn't think I'd have to call repair service this soon. And I know all the stoves seem to be designed this way now, but I don't see the reasoning behind the decision to put the large burner for stock pots in the front. No matter how you position the lid, the fan from the Advantium microwave is not strong enough to pull in most of the steam-- steam fogs both sides of the microwave, which is just one more item to clean after cooking. Not to mention if this will affect performance of the microwave at some point, which is why I then went back to the store and purchased the extended warranty for the microwave. Overall, I am disappointed that I ended up with this product, I feel the quality should have been much higher given the cost of the range/microwave. But if you're looking for style, you are left with little choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oven holds temp great

We bought this range in Jan 2013, moved into our Condo on Feb 1, 2013; this range has given us no problems, temp control on the oven is right on; gas burners are very user friendly (after electric for 41+ yrs) and wonderful to use.

Love the Griddle!

I have had this Dual Fuel for 10 months now, and love all features, but am so excited about the griddle in the middle! We use it often for a variety of purposes, love the one large burner underneath, and the ease of cleaning. It's a must!

Wanted a five burner stove with a second oven. Got everything I wanted including the dual fuel feature. The gas top has different sized burners including a griddle. Just love this stove.

Finally realized the dream of upgrading appliances to the GE Cafe dual fuel gas range! We love cooking again! Works better than expected and makes the whole process -- from preparation to clean up -- seamless. So glad we made this purchase. Only regret is that we didn't do it sooner! My only complaint is that it is hard to see the control panel for the oven at night. Even with my kitchen lights on I have to bend over and get very close in order to use it.
