Have had this Café series range for 6 weeks and I don't fault the manufacturer but wish I would have known how much heat the super burner on the right side puts out as that side of the range is next to my refrigerator and the side of the refrigerator gets so hot from the radiated heat that if you touch it you will get burned. Not sure what to do to prevent any possible heat damage to my refrigerator? I don't always lean on counters but if you lightly brush against the front digital controls you will hear the beeping and think you turned on the oven or changed the clock accidentally.
I chose this model for the dual fuel, knobs on the front and heavy grates---these were my main criteria. But why not a easy clean/scratch resistant surface on the cooktop for this pricey model? Have not used the griddle/burner yet, but plan to soon! Nor have I used the bottom oven....still in remodel mode.
We installed GE Cafe appliances throughout our kitchen and are impressed with all of them. Several burner sizes accommodate all pan sizes. The griddle is perfect for cooking bacon in the mornings. Three racks in the oven assure that I can bake everything at once. Quick cooking. Easy to learn. And easy to clean. A winner.
Have had this since February - love the gas top and electric ovens. Convection oven is great. Haven't tried the baking drawer yet but hope to soon. Gas top is easy to use and controls are at the front - a plus so you don't have to reach behind the top to adjust the flame.
the absence of a back to the burner surface creates much more space for pots and pans and at the same time makes your counter space appear much larger and more open.
