Happy to have bought this stove and oven. The oven works great. I like the different burners depending on what you're cooking. Easy to clean too. Have not used the griddle yet but looks like fun.

Love my Range!

Love it, It looks so good in kitchen. Food seems hotter, than on my old electric. I just used the bake delay feature, came home to beautifully cooked brisket! I can cook rice on this gas range with the special burner that has simmer! Soups, stews cook so nice, not stuck to bottom of pan. I feel like a Top Chef with my GE gas Range.

I have owned the Ge Cafe duel fuel range for about 4 1/2 years. My model does not have the three ring burner- highest output is 18,000 BTUs. I LOVE this range. I researched ranges for many months before making a decision. There is simply no better product out there for the price. Many "professional" ranges did not have the same level of BTU output, and were far more expensive. The grates can go in the dishwasher, and due to the non-enameled surface, look far less dirty (even when they are). The cooktop itself is stainless, and you must be careful not to use, for example, a steel wool pad on it. The burners are super easy to control the flame, and therefore easy to manipulate your heat for your cooking requirements. The grates are continuous across the entire cooktop, so it is easy to move large and heavy pots across the cooktop from one area to another. We use the removable center griddle quite often- it makes *perfect* french toast!
As for the oven, it has drastically improved my baking. The convection oven is simple to use and turns out perfect cookies every time. The internal fan can get a little loud, however. There are three racks- huge improvement over my previous two rack oven. The self clean mode does its job perfectly. I also use the lowest setting (170 degrees) to proof bread- I just turn it off as soon as it gets to temperature and wait 10 minutes- my bread has come out wonderfully. I will admit that we have not used the bottom oven nearly as much as we thought, however, this year will be the first year I will host both Thanksgiving AND Christmas, so I expect we will get quite a bit of use out of it in the coming months.
My *only* complaints are: 1) The screws on the cooktop under the burner grates can be annoying to clean food out of (I generally wet the area with hot water and then use a bamboo skewer stick to get out bits of food). 2) The knobs tend to get pretty hot when the oven is at a high temp, or the front burners are used for a long period of time (like making stock).
When I bought this range, I had an interest in becoming a better cook. This range has made that EASY and enjoyable. Truly the best money we have spent on any appliance in our home.

I bought this a month ago and I love the style, the griddle, and the size of burners and everything about it. The only thing is I would have put the large burners on the back and the smaller ones up front, this is why it only got a 4 star.

After a month of correspondence with the GE Consumer Relations representatives to exchange our range with no positive results and anguish days and nights explaining our problems to no avail, we found out that the GE Store was the one to call directly. After we did call the GE Store with NO help from the GE Consumer Rep, our problem was solved within a few minutes. I thank the GE Store for getting things done for us. The GE Consumer Relations Department is definitely not representing us, the consumer!! I plan on writing a complaint to the GE Consumer Relations Department about the way we were treated. We found out that the consumer department was not the one we should have been dealing with in the first place but they did not divulge that info to us and when we asked why they said they did not have to. The GE Store representative was great and I thank you for your friendly and helpful service!

Great Oven

I purchased this as our first oven in our newly built home and i'm impressed. The over cooks at a very fast rate especially in convection mode. The self clean is somewhat something to be desired, but for the most part it's great. The look is very sleek with full stainless steel knobs. The cleaning of the product is as challenging as a fridge or stainless hood. The price is fair for this, but make sure that you shop around for pricing as some can be way overpriced. One thing to look for is to make sure that the cooker doesn't have the red GE logo as that is an older model, but they are still being sold in some places.
