Very versatile burner set with two power burners. Simmer setting actually works correctly on all burners. Large and accurate oven with sturdy shelves. The cooling fan for the control panel is kind of noisy. My only real issue is that the electronic oven control panel which is at waist level, is NOT back-lit which is a major oversight in this price range. I have to turn on all the kitchen lights full blast to see to input the settings. This is a new model so I'm sure they will fix that soon.
I have been using this stove for 7 months and love how quickly the power boil burners boil water. The oven hits the right temperature and holds it, which makes for very effective baking. I've only seen two drawbacks: first, it is difficult to get the gas burners to have a low enough temperature for medium...everything stays hot and cooks fast, sometimes too fast. Second, there is no temperature display for the lower oven/warming drawer, so you don't know exactly when it is at the right temp. I wish it had one, because it's great to use when you're cooking something small and don't want to heat the main oven.
This is a great range. I love the burner sizes and output. I like the placement of them on the top though the front and back seem close together. It really has all the high end features that I demand in a mid level price point. The baking drawer works flawlessly and is more versatile than I expected. The large oven is flawless. Convection is very efficient, though the fan is a bit loud. The entire unit is very easy to clean.
I love my Cafe range! However, the griddle scratches very easily, even when using only a rubber spatula and soft cleaning cloth. I wish I could find out what it's made of (teflon?).
This range was expensive, but was a great improvement over our previous stove. The stove top heats fast and evenly, and we love the dual size elements. The included cast iron griddle works fine. I'd have preferred sides that slope up, to hold butter and oil on the griddle, rather than down, which drains grease and fats. You have to keep the heat *LOW* when using this, or things will burn. The convection oven cooks quickly and evenly.
I've only been using for a couple of weeks, but so far so good. I really wanted a gas range with electric double oven. This is as close as I could get for the size I needed and the price point I was willing to pay. Quick to boil, easy baking in the oven. Came with lots of extra do dads like a meat thermometer, 3 racks for the top oven, the middle burner griddle and open gas range grate. The oven smelled like burning plastic the first few times it was used, but has since disappeared.
