Very consistent gas cooking

The product is great. I would give it a total 10 if it hadn't blown both appliance oven bulbs after only 5 months of use. Called G.E. service and scheduled an appt. for service. They did so but called me to tell me bulbs are not covered, but would overnight me two new bulbs. I had to put them in myself (bad back and arthritis not withstanding!) There IS a problem out there with bulbs in this model. A neighbor and I chose the same model and she had the same problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Preparing to buy a second for new home

Have had this oven for over 6 years and am the kind of person who uses it all the time; didn't buy just for its beautiful looks!!! Love the griddle, burners are fast and a adjust to any temp, and the oven is even and convection feature a joy. Am getting ready to build a new place; when is this style going to be available in slate????

Great range!

We bought our slide-in-range the last of July, 2016. I have used it for 3 months now. It replaces our old drop-in-range and it fit into the space beautifully. I wasn't sure I would like the glass counter top and worried it would be to hard to clean. I have found it fairly easy to keep clean, but some days it does take a little longer to clean than others. I don't regret my decision to go with the glass top instead of coils. In addition to the cleaner that came with the stove, I also bought the scraper at my local hardware store, which has come in handy. I have made several batches of jam, using my old speckled navy blue water bath pot, and had no problems. I find that I have to start everything on 9, high would be 10, and then drop the heat down to about 4, otherwise it takes forever for my food to start cooking. YES, the bottom oven drawer WORKS! I have used it several times and are thrilled to have a second oven. I am 64 and didn't want my large oven to be located at the bottom of the range. The oven drawer solved the problem. I haven't tried the self-cleaning oven yet. I have tried using the convection oven and don't like it, so I am happily using the traditional oven setting. We did order the FULL EXTENSION RACK, I think the number is WB48T10088, and it works great.

GE Cafe Dual-fuel range

This is a very nice appliance, and fits well in my kitchen. The gas cooktop is a miracle, especially the large oval center burner: I am a home-brewer, and my beer kettles heat up and boil very well. That being said, I am still in the learning process for baking in an electric oven. My bread and baked goods are coming out rather too crusty. I believe I may be about 10 degrees too hot; however, the "Special Features" settings allow me to reset the large oven temperature to whatever I want. This is an amazing feature. The bottom warming oven works like a charm, and is especially nice for baking small dishes and casseroles. In summary, I would buy this range again in a New York minute. It performs as well as or better than the high-end ranges, and its versatility is incomparable.

I have had this stove since late August. We have been very happy. Wish the center burner had a larger BTU capacity and more intense flame for using the griddle. Otherwise we like all the other features.

Boils water extremely fast and I finally have a burner I can put low enough to not boil my gravy. Griddle is a nice feature as well

The range arrived with a broken left front burner and a heating drawer ( bottom oven ) that does not close. Oven thermometer registers less than set heat level. Sad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
