Great looking, great performance

I've only had the stove for a week but I love it. Looks great, like a pro model. Plenty of burners, the electric elements heat up fast and easy to control. I love the cast iron grill that spans two burners, great for steaks. The oven is spacious and heats up to temp quickly. I also like the enamel coated racks. These slide in and out easily and I'm sure will clean easily.

Difficult to Install

I wrote a long review but it was rejected, so don't trust the reviews as the unfavorable reviews don't meet the 'GE' guidelines. I looked into 'GE', but this range is actually not a General Electric product, but a range built by Haier, a Chinese company that purchased GE appliances in January 2016. This range is not a slide in range, but a drop in that has a low back to look like a slide in range. A slide in range requires a 29" opening in the granite countertop. This unit needs a minimum of 30". Correcting the granite cost $450. Make sure your outlet is 40 amp, and very low on the left side of the wall or your unit will not reach the back wall. The gas line also needs to be on the left side. Correcting the electrical cost an additional $200. The range is nice and works well, but if you want to save money, buy a drop in with a gas oven.

Very Disappointed

I bought this range 4 1/2 years ago & was so excited. Have hesitated to write a review, because really didn't want to write negatively. I am a very experienced long-time cook & do lots of baking. I researched several months to find what I thought was just the right range with special emphasis on the oven. BUT it has been one thing after another. In the first few months the oven kept turning off and the entire digital unit was replaced. I kept having failure with my cakes and finally used a highly rated oven thermometer to test the temperature. Kept getting different readings; I never know what I'm going to get. I can't begin to count the number of failed cakes, breads & etc. This has gone on for several years. I guess I nievely kept thinking it would get better. (I just put a ham in the oven; supposed to heat at 275 degrees; started with 300 degrees; display dings & shows 300 degrees; in oven it reads 250 degrees; increased temp to 315; ding & oven reads 350 degrees; turn back to 300; just checked & oven reads 310; turned to 290. As you see it is like playing Russian Roulete.) The instruction manual tells you how to adjust the oven temp; (why should it have to be adjusted, but I will try this next). On to other issues. About 6 months ago I decided the oven was sufficiently messy to use the auto oven cleaner, which did a good job, (not excellent, just good). Within 1 week the solid surface unit began cracking. That part has 5 year warranty, so repairman came and installed another, but we had to pay installation. In the process he tells me not to use the oven cleaner that this is a common problem. Really? Need I say more? You might ask why haven't I done something? What am I to do? I can't go out and buy another & and scrap this one. I am so disappointed in this range!!!

Mostly pleased

A great looking stove with many excellent features, lock system, element sizes that fit all my pots, baking oven drawer is very handy. On the down side, the convection oven does not bake uniformly. When baking 3 pans of buns, the buns on the top rack have a burned top, the middle rack is great, and the bottom rack is under baked. This is the fourth convection oven I have owned and the only one that is unreliable when using convection bake. It has taken quite a while to have the bake and roast controls accept a variety of temperature settings on the first try.
I would recommend this to a friend!
