The Awesome Epson WF-4640

As a Realtor, I print a lot of documents, both Black and Color. this printer has lived up to its description. Have had it for a month with hundreds of pages printed and not had to replace the ink cartridge yet. It is quick and quiet. Great printer.
P.S. love that I don't have to constantly change the printer bin!

Nice Printer for Medium Duty

I purchased this printer to print materials from my online graduate courses. I really like it that it has the ability to connect to my network using both ethernet and wi-fi and I like having two paper trays. The copy and scan functions work really well and I have no complaints with the print speed and quality - they are both pretty good for my purposes. The independent review and test site that recommended this printer said the cost per page was lower than other printers in its class, but even with the high capacity cartridges, I use a lot of ink printing color pages. Overall, I am very satisfied.

SOLID ink jet printer-cartridges last a LONG TIME!

SOLID printer. Two (2) large paper trays (stacked vertically at bottom of unit), HUGE ink jet cartridges (which last a very long time), and very reliable functionality. Definitely the most dependable ink jet printer I've ever seen - or actually, imagined. As reliable as our desktop laser printer. Beautiful color reproduction. I love this printer. I recommend it to everyone. You cannot do better than this particular ink jet printer. LOVE IT!

DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER!

I've owned several Epson printers and this one has been the worst. It's wireless system has issues and the scanning feature doesn't work half the time. I will be returning this after owning it only a few weeks!

Great office printer

Solid, well-built, easy-to-use printer. Software for Windows 7 made sense. Minimal setup time. Has a rather small footprint (width & depth are perhaps 19"x19"), but it's tall (due to the additional paper bin on the bottom). I like it and I'd recommend it to others. Ink cartridges seem like they'll provide quite a lot of mileage; quite high capacity. To me, spending more on a larger ink cartridge makes sense. Supposedly will print 3 reams. We'll see. But from the size of the cartridges, I'd tend to believe it.

Great, BUT Unreliable

Printer is great on its good days, but it is tempermental and unreliable.
Often it is excruciatingly slow, wait 3 or 4 minutes to start printing.
Often it aborts in the middle of a page and just ejects that half printed page.
Other times it simply freezes and will not print.
Problems occur with about 50% of print jobs. Waste a lot of time, paper and ink. Nothing seems to work to fix issues.
My computer has i3-2120 CPU, 20 Gig RAM, 500 Gig HD with less than 100 GB utilised, Windows 7-64-bit - so issue should not be computer related.
Just very disappointed with printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We used a Brother for 3 years and was worried when we had to upgrade to something different but this machine seems to have everything that we need & faster printing!
