This is our fourth freezer in 49 years of marriage. It is very quiet as it is near our rec room compared to our last one. Love the self defrost and would never buy one without this feature! The wire shelves are easy to maintain compared to glass shelves. Our first fridge in 1966 was a Amana and it lasted us 15 years and it was not purchased new but used. Quality shows! We are very happy with this new unit.
