What a great combination....Amana Upright!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had never owned an Amana freezer. We had never owned an upright. Weost all of our pork, elk and red fish when our chest freezer gave out during a storm 2 months ago. Desperate to get things replaced we were blessed to have an Amana upright available to us in our area. I am so impressed with the storage capabilities and convenience this appliance has given me. It takes up less space on the floor and looks so nice. I will always recommend Amana after this purchase.

Energy efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the freezer a month ago to replace one that died. This upright is energy efficient, better energy performance than my old one , has adjustable shelves and and auto defrost feature.

Works just fine, had some dings and peeling paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All appliances are so expensive now, just like this "little" jewel was. We were lucky to find it in stock at our local appliance dealer, as we needed one badly. The blue tape they tape it up with is exceptionally strong. Evidently there was a bad spot in the paint on the back so some paint pulled off when removing the tape. I super glued it back down and covered with some white fingernail polish just so it doesn't rust if any condensate builds up on the outside or it gets some moisture down in the basement. My unit had some scratches and dings on it. I know that it was like that from the factory, since I removed it from the box myself. I did not mind it, it is just a tool for keeping food frozen, not a show piece. This unit needs to come with some more shelving, only has a couple of shelves. It forces you to stack things up really high and then it all slides out in the floor after my kids stock it wrong. My mother and father bought one a few days after I did and it was in really good shape, no peeling paint and dings/scratches like mine. I swapped the door around for them on their unit, that was pretty simple to do if you are handy with tools and such.

Amanda upright freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First upright freezer I have ever purchased. I have always had chest freezers in the past. Never again! I absolutely love my upright freezer. I can find everything at a glance. No more food shifting to the bottom. The lighting in the Amana freezer is so bright. It makes finding the item you want so easy. I would definitely buy an upright again if in need of another freezer. Thanks Amana I have never been disappointed in your products.

Overall Great freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of room, very quiet. Reason for lower rating as I am leery of a red flashing light that comes on behind the controller plastic. No one can tell me why! Not my dealer, Amana costumer service or tech. It has came on 3 times in two months. Have to unplug, let sit for a few minutes and plug back in before it goes out. Just waiting for a failure. RED means an issue! Also wish it had a door lock!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
