Trims my beard very well. Hopefully the have some affordable attachments for beard trimming because as it comes it is more for hair. To be considered a beard trimmer it really needs a smaller detail blade as well.

Decided to do a quarantine haircut, and, not knowing how to do a 'proper cut' (my hair was 3-4" layered, and a mess), I decided to just get rid of it. I ordered this having no idea how to use it, except for watching a few videos. But, it was virtually mistake-proof (as long as you use the right size guard!!), and so easy to use. The guard ensures that you can't make a mistake, so it's pretty worry-free. I may grow my hair back out, but, now that I have this in my bathroom cabinet, who knows.

More Like Virtually Unusable

I purchased this trimmer (HC-5855), choosing corded vs battery-powered so I wouldn't have to replace batteries or risk it not working when I need it. Little did I know it would stop cutting altogether long before any battery would have worn out.
Just months after purchase, the trimmer started making a terribly loud noise when on. After that, I could tell the trimming capabilities were severely reduced. Eventually it stopped cutting at all. The blade no longer moves when the trimmer is engaged; it simply makes a very loud noise.
Unfortunately, I need a trimmer not an electric noisemaker.
Also, the warranty in the accompanying materials was only 90 days, not "lifetime."
If you are looking for a long-lasting, durable trimmer this is definitely not for you. Don't be fooled by this trimmer's claims.
