I've been asked about the Misfit several times because it looks so unusual. The phone interface is user friendly and it made tracking sleep so much simpler than my Fitbit.
I wear my misfit shine every day and night...Except in the shower or washing dishes. I love it. Works like a charm and stay on securely. I also have 4 misfit flashes...Each in a different color. I hope to add more colors to my shine collection as well.
Tried a new battery. Will not sync with the Misfit app. I've re-loaded the app 3 or 4 times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Misfit Shine is STILL my favorite fitness tracker. I originally had a black Shine and then tried a Withings Pulse O2 with more functionality like a display, elevation monitoring and the O2 sensing. All nice but all didn't seem to work as advertised (for me, the device itself was still a nice device). Then I upgraded to an Apple Watch and, really, how could the Shine contend with that?! If it was not for the Apple Watch with all of its non-fitness tracking goodness, I would completely devote myself to the Shine again. It's simple, it's elegant. My own tests and others I've seen, it's accurate. No worry about charging, it lasts a lone while on battery power. There's water resistance. It is a watch face for those who can still tell analog time. The device is held well in the bands and the magnetic clip will NOT easily come off (even when you want it to!). Perhaps less spoken about is the Misfit app. Slick, clean and easy to navigate (after some learning). I found that with this light yet solid device, the app and a few friends sporting one themselves, I strove to make those lights circle around the disc by the end of the day. It was motivating without being overbearing. And the great thing about being non-rechargeable is that one can track sleep as well, hardly ever removing it and having it track all sorts of bodily needs. The sleep monitoring is not the best- and sleep monitoring in-app could be easier, let me say, yes, I'm going to bed and, now, I'm waking up!- but it does give a good outline of one's habits at night. The main reason I bought Misfit again is for the sleep monitoring. My Apple Watch feeds directly into iOS's Health app but does not monitor sleep (the watch needs to be recharged every night). For the price I paid, I was willing to buy another Shine just for that purpose. No, this device will not be best suited for the hardcore trainer. But for the price, the basic Shine model, I've found, will get anyone up and moving. Wonderful, wonderful device.
Sharp looking and it feels like its barely there! Only reason i dodnt give it a 5 star rating is for the first few days i had to sync it quite often to get it to work, it would just have the 12 position light on, no time or progress. And it doesnt have the twist feature that my old flash has. But it seems to be working properly now and I wear it everyday.
