It delivers on every thing of what a phone should be and more and performs better then the competers. Got it at a great price. Only thing that its lacking is the app store, but you don't need an app store to show how great a phone is!
Pros: Personal, school

Pros: Battery life, good reception with the stock os, good sound quality, simple UI
Cons: Comes with windows 8.1, when upgrading windows 10 will use 6 to 7 gigs of 8 gig rom, lack of variety of useful apps, lack of features for apps made for phone, windows 10 builds comes with lots of issue's, bad load times of certain apps, only rear facing camera, camera quality only 5mp, no flash, no additional hardware light for flash light
The Lumina 635 is a well built phone from a hardware stand point. It has good sound quality, service reception, and battery life. I picked up this phone because my HTC Desire 610's Battery and display where at the end of Life and I wanted to try Windows 10.
Microsoft's auto-correct dictionary for texting was less annoying then what I found with what comes stock on Android or Iphones. I also found the User Interface was simple (not saying it was any better then other platforms just simple and friendly). Contrary to popular belief if you do decide to install windows 10 Microsoft has easy to use software that you can download from their site to flash the phone back to windows 8 if needed.
With that said I have found several cons with the phone. For example it comes windows 8.1 (which feels dated in regards to how Microsoft is pushing people to windows 10). When updating the phone to windows 10 you will find a lack of stable build and no final release builds as of yet. Windows 10 builds also appear to fill most of your phones storage space. From my experiences of different build versions use 6.2 to 7 gigs of the 8 gig Rom. This this does not leave much space for apps that have to be installed on the phones rom.
Speaking of apps for the the phone they are few and far between and the ones that have been developed for the phone are to be desired. A good example is the Facebook app which is lacking a lot of features that Facebook has no plans including after there agreement with Microsoft. Makes one wounder if Microsoft is limiting certain features on 3rd party apps as in regards to competition with there own.
Over the 2 months I have had this phone I had flash it back to 8.1 on 4 occasions after attempting to get a stable version of windows 10 for it. Two different builds of 10 appeared to cause reception issue's, One build kept freezing when attempting to launch apps, and the 4th build appeared to have certain software features that where either broke or missing. Example ability to add multiple email accounts :(
In the end I went back to Android, Microsoft has a lot to learn about the mobile market before I would ever consider one of there phones again. I now have a HTC Desire 626s. For the price of Android phones like the HTC 626s and the specs the 626s has compared to the Lumina 635 it makes it hard for me to recommend the Lumina 635 for any reason.

The phone is easy to use. It works very well. I love Cortland and the word flow keyboard. The screen size is good. The resolution could be a bit better. I love that it can synch with my Windows Surface RT and that I can change from one device to another without losing any work. I don't like that there are not a lot of apps on the phone.
Pros: Personal, Business, school

Wow, I love this phone! I've had iPhones for 3 years and Androids for 4 years but I had never really considered Windows Phones... I always grouped them with Blackberries as the odd man out. I was wrong! I picked up this Lumia 635 and it's like a breath of fresh air. Gives me lots of customization options but doesn't require me to micro manage like Android does. All the other phones seen so bland now, lol. I can't believe that you can get as fast and fluid a phone for this low price. You saved me about $900 on the phone I was going to buy. You've got a new fan Microsoft, well done! :)

Great OS, bad phone

I'm a big fan of the Windows OS, but I cannot honestly recommend this phone. I'm not going to complain about features that I knew I was giving up before I made this purchase. Obviously, Windows does not have the same app availability as android or iphone, and I knew this did not have a flash or front-facing camera. But I am a little frustrated with the spotty wi-fi connectivity (I will sometimes have to turn off and on my phone for it to pick up the wi-fi signal in my own house), and I am completely vexed by the inability to save anything onto my micro SD card. The 635 is doing the Windows OS a great disservice.
