I am sorry that the cartridge didn’t last long for you. I can understand if you are not happy, but rest assured that we take your feedback very seriously.
Perhaps you were printing denser printouts with this cartridge. Ink usage determines how long it lasts. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the surrounding air is dry.
If the poor performance you experienced appears to be due to a defective cartridge, please check about returning it to us. Step-by-step instructions for completing the return and exchange process is covered at:

Difficult to tell what cartrige you are buying

When you buy the cartridges it's very difficult to tell if your buying photo black cartridge or the regular black cartridge. The only differentiation is the little triangle on the cartridge Box.
