All the HP 564 cartridges I use last for less than 30 pages, even the XL cartridges. I only use the HP Photosmart 7510 printer occasionally, and must replace cartridges frequently.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
I'm sorry that you didn't have a good experience with HP 564 cartridges you received. It does seem like you should have gotten to use those more.
There is a possibility that the maintenance routines caused part of this. The tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper get clogged easily. It is necessary to spray a drop of ink through them occasionally to ensure that they stay clear.
Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the nozzles are protected from excess drying.
When it appears that poor page yield was due to a defect, please exchange the cartridge. The return and exchange process is covered, step-by-step, at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
I bought my HP Photo printer in 2013,have used nothing but HP cartridges in it. I have made hundreds of photos & use HP photo paper only. My Laptop is a HP also. I am very well satisfied with all the HP products I have used.
So far so good. Hopefully it last, too early to tell as I don’t need to print something everyday. Easier to order than trying to look for it at the store, and find out they are out of my number for my printer.
I begin using HP for ink cartridges because the stores are not trusted for good ink cartridges. I purchased cartridges from a well-known office supply chain, and the ink was like water. The store charged me regular prices. I showed what there ink was like with a printout of pictures of flowers. Then I showed them the same picture using HP ink. The difference astounding. They refunded my money, and I have used HP ever since.
