These ink cartridges are less than half the size of cartridges for previous printers, yet they cost the same, or more. Very disappointed in number of pages we can get out of them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The number of copies the cartridge says it will obtain doesn't always be the actual amount. Less not more.

The XL black cartridge gives a lot more printing than the smaller size. I wish it gave as many sheets as the cartridges for my previous HP all-in-one printer.

I am like a lot of your other customers. The NEW 564 XL does not seem to have the capabilities as the one it replaced. It is still a better deal than the standard black ink cartridge so I will continue to buy, as this printer drinks a lot of ink.

As you have read in reviews before, this ink cartridge has a very short life expectancy! Even the XL versions provide only a little more in production capacity. HP should give the printers away, as keeping them fed with ink takes a signifiant investment.
Overall: Print quality is excellent, even at the economy printing mode.
Colors are vivid and ease of installation is great.

Awesome customer service and products at regular low prices. I wished i had stopped here first for my HP supplies but for whatever reason I thought elsewhere would be cheaper. Man did i ever make a mistake nobody had what I needed or could correct the mistakes we both made together. Only HP got my out of the jam.

I ordered this XL version of black ink because I go through it a lot and last time I ordered it, it lasted a long time. This time when I got it, it was 1/2 the size it was last time and I paid more money for it. I am extremely disappointed as I bought this printer because the ink was supposed to be cheap but it isn't.

I have tried several types of paper and got same results. Any of these 5 cartridges lasts only 2 weeks on average, I get 50-60 sheets per cartridge. I have purchased more than 35 cartridges in the past year.. More than the price of the HP photosmart printer. I would not recommend this printer and cartridge combination. While the printer has many features, it eats you out of house and home, when it comes to new cartridges. I wait until the colors go faint, and not much difference. I use 2-3 sheets a day. Good thing I can order online and get the new cartridge quickly. Also being wireless, the printer has connectivity problems. Too many jobs fail to print resulting in a loss of paper. It teaches you to be patient.I have a high speed internet in the same room. The PC never has a connectivity problem. This HP printer often has this problem.
