I was running out of photo black ink and the quality of print was poor. I ordered two cartridges. It took almost a month for delivery. The delivery hit at least six states before I received it. I removed the old cartridge and put in the new on. The print was very poor, illegible. I removed the new cartridge and put in the second one that I purchased. Now the printer is working fine.

Hi,
I am truly sorry that you had this sort of experience. Everyone is experiencing shipping delays because the delivery companies are having a hard time keeping up with orders right now.
The defective cartridge can be returned to us. Step by step instructions for completing the return and exchange process are at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
I bought this cartridge in early June. It printed about 4 pages and no it is out of ink. Every time I try to print, I get a blank page

Hi,
I am sorry that you had this problem. If you checked the ink levels and found no ink, the cartridge could have been defective, or the maintenance routines might have caused this. A few drops of ink here and there are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job. Over a period of time, they can add up.
On the other hand, if you do have ink in the cartridge, it is probable that the printhead inside the printer is clogged and not allowing ink through to the paper. There is a cleaning routine available from the printer's menu used to clear them out. The routine might need to be run more than once to clean out the clogs completely.
To prevent these problems: - Turn the printer off when it is not being used - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn your printer off. That gives it time to position the cartridge so it is protected from excessive drying, which leads to clogs.
The other colors work appropriately but the black does not dispense. It appears to be dried up.

Hi,
I am sorry that you had this problem with the black cartridge. If you checked the ink levels and found no ink, the cartridge could be defective.
On the other hand, if you do have ink in the cartridge, it is probable that the inkjet nozzles inside the printer for that color are clogged and not allowing ink through to the paper. There is a cleaning routine available from the printer's menu used to clear them out.
If it appears that the black cartridge's poor performance is due to a defect, the return and exchange process is covered, step-by-step, at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
Unfortunately the cartridge I received is a bad one. It will not print. I have tried everything. Reseated it, cleaned it about 4 times, and wiped the print head down. It won't work and I don't have enough money to replace it again so soon. I wish I could afford one of the new printers that can be used with the program for sending replacement ink.
Ink will not disburse ,it seems this happens when you order the larger cartridge. I will not order again. Also delivery time seemed slow.

Hi there Diana,
I read your review and noticed you have several concerns. I am listening and will attempt to address all of them. If the ink isn't dispersing, ensure that all tape around the cartridge is removed. The cartridge must snap into the cartridge holder firmly for printing. If the issue is something else, support offers diagnostic help. As for the delivery, I sincerely apologize. Supply chain delays are more common this year. The return processing occurs at www.staples.com/sbd/content/help/shipping/.
