Great replacement printer

I had a 6 year old HP Photosmart printer that performed flawlessly. Only reason I replaced was to upgrade to wireless. This wireless Photosmart Premiun is superior to the old one. Setup was a snap and the touch screen is an outstanding idea. Thanks.

Print Cartridge That Doesn't Work

This 564 Photo Black XL was advertised as a replacement for my standard size cartridge. However, the HP printer did not recognize it. I removed and replaced it several times always following instructions. I always received an error message. I wasted the money to buy this cartridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Black ink cartridge did not print black

The black ink cartridge would not print black or hardly any black until I cleaned it. I have never had this problem with a new HP cartridge before. This wastes both the ink in the new black cartridge and the ink in the other three color cartridges.

The cartridge I received was an older cartridge (still in warrantee-June,12). Others received in an order, including one like this, and those that came with the printer I purchased last year (Feb. 2011) had ink cartridges that didn't expire until Sept. 2012 and some until Dec. 2013 !!

Great, but one thing to know

I own two HP printers that take the HP 564Xl cartridge - both just over one year old. When I received my order of 564XL cartridges, I noticed that the size of the cartridge was smaller than the original cartridges and replacement cartridges that I had purchased at the time that I bought my printers. I was sure that something was wrong with that, so I called tech support. After some checking, I was told that there had been a change in the cartridge design and that the newer (smaller) cartridges would fit and had the same capacity as the original cartridges. It would have been nice to know that information so that I would not have had to take the time to call. Anyway, if you have the older, larger cartridges, the new 564XL will work perfectly.

Why is it that the original is bigger than the replacement? AND they tell you it has more ink!
