Less ink than earlier

I have certainly not performed a scientific measurement, but the newer cartridge HP 564XL seems to have much less ink than the earlier models.
I would recommend this to a friend!

With this new cartridge which is advertised to be good for about 750 pages, I have my first 50 pages in now. I am going to see how many sheets it really will print before it asks for refil.

Got a leaker

When I opened the cartridge wrapper, ink spilled out. Lucky it spilled on my plastic floor protector and not the carpet. Looks like a major crack although nothing was obvious regarding damaged packaging before opened the cartridge. Be careful with the ink.
HP sent me another replacement cartridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

uses way too much ink

I've found that I'm putting in a new cartridge about every 45 days as the ink doesn't go very far. I don't do much copying so am disappointed that I must replace the cartridges so often. So although the cost of each cartridge is lower than the normal, larger cartridges the ink does not last proportionately longer.

Failure of cartridge

Right out of the box the Photo XL cartridge would not work in the printer. The error message was cartridge failed. I reinserted it multiple times and it did not work. Put in another Photo Black cartridge and it worked just fine.
Must be a faulty cartridge. I have never had a problem before.
Appreciate the speedy delivery once order is placed with HP

I purchased this ink cartridge the end of October and I am already low on ink! I may have printed 100 pages but not 250!

I expected much more life from an XL cartridge than I'm getting. Typically the XL seems to allow no more copies than a non-XL. Can you give me your answer to the comparison studies you must have made.

I have tried other inks, generic. The performance from those sources were poor at best. I will stick to true HP inks. The quality is great from HP.
