This cartridge ran out way too early. That's why all printers should have the option of instant ink.

Hi there Mildred,
Running out of ink early can happen to anyone. There are tricks to make the cartridge last longer, such as turning off the printer. Print preview is another great trick, as it eliminates waste.
I believe all printers are eligible for instant ink, although you are using an older model. It’s a wonderful program. The instant ink program will definitely be an option when you eventually replace your printer.
It was very disappointing. I installed the new ink cartridge and immediately it said it needed to be replaced. I made sure it was seated correctly as well as I tried a couple of other things. I reinstalled the cartridge a couple of times but it kept saying the cartridge needed to be replaced. I was on a tight deadline and this made me miss their deadline. I also lost the future contract for doing additional jobs for them.

Hello there,
Sudden printing issues are disappointing. Missing a deadline due to ink cartridge issues compounds this frustration. I am very sorry you lost business as a result of this situation.
Sometimes, new cartridges are not recognized by the printer. Restarting the printer before resetting the cartridge helps resolve this issue. Returning the cartridges is quite easy.
