This event is unfortunate. We want all of our customers to be impressed with our products and service. From your review, it's unclear how many copies were produced. Remember, all advertisements are an average. Page yield can vary, based on a variety of factors.
My main idea is for you to join the instant ink program. It replaces your cartridge before you finish the current one.
Here are some other general tips: Avoid printing complex designs, photos, or text-heavy pages. Keep your printer away from humid or dry environments. Always turn off the printer if you can. It protects the cartridges from drying.
New cartridge did not work in my printer or my friends printer.

Thank you for providing information about the incident. Subpar customer outcomes are regrettable. Assuming your friend shares the same printer model, it sounds like a specific issue with the cartridge.
Check that there is no tape or plastic left on the cartridge. Sometimes, these items prevent the cartridge from printing. Reset the printer and replug it in the energy source.

Black ink is great and bright. The color cartridge very dull and red is light pink after printing two pages a boxed popped up and said my color ink cartridge is not an original HP cartridge and then I closed that box and another popped up and said my color ink is out of ink yup after two pages of text and not all color but black as well. Again no problem with the black ink.
This is as good as you would find anywhere else if you could find it anywhere. I live in a small town and all of the stores here were out of it! Better than going out and looking it plus it was delivered right to my door.
It leaked and quit working within the first few times that I used it.

Hello there Anne,
The color cartridges are experiencing two different but related events. If there is a leak in the printer, the cartridge is damaged or defective. We advise handling and inserting the cartridges carefully to prevent leaks from occurring. Still, sometimes leaks are unavoidable.
As for the cartridges not working after the leak, it is due to the leaky cartridge. The printer won't run because it detects the leak. The leak could damage the printer, so dispose of the cartridge and clean any ink spots. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to HP support.
