Leaks and temp gauge not working, door not closing

I've had this about three years or so. Perhaps that is the maximum time before it runs foul. This leaks badly, spoiling any food on the top shelf. The temp gauge is set low, and yet the fridge is very cold -- resulting in higher electric costs. The door doesn't close properly either. Poorly manufactured all in all. Our refrigerator repair man explained that most fridges are built to go bust after three years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey Friend1! The estimated yearly energy cost of your refrigerator FFTR1514QW is $45.00. It is possible the Vent Chamber in between the freezer and fresh food sections have been used as a detour for the defrost drain water. This happens due to the freezer drain line tube having in the opening. Simply defrost the freezer by turning the unit off and leaving the door open for approximately 30 minutes. After defrosting the freezer, make sure there are no obstructions (i.e. food bags, boxes, containers) in the back blocking the drainage way. Adjust your freezer dial to colder and the fresh food dial towards cold. We ask that if you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us directly. Kindest regards –

Good fit

It's the right size, and the freezer is good. I have the fridge on the coldest and it only gets down to 39 or 40.

Perfect small apt or second refrigerator.

I bought this because I needed a second frig for my basement. The unit is neat and takes up very little space. both refrigerator and freezer keep food at optimum temperature. The unit is quite and I am completely satisfied with it .

It is perfect for me. In the 1920s my parents bought a Frigidaire and I have always considered it the best. All my mother's friends came in just to admire it, the first refrigerator in the neighborhood.

Our 30 year old refrigerator finally broke down and this Frigidaire was one of only two that would fit in our space. We've had it for a month and so far we love it except for the crinkly texture.

This Frigidaire is perfect and exactly what we needed for our office at this time. Also, it was easy to switch the doors and handles from one side to the other. I would highly recommend this product.

Basic refrigerator

I bought this 6 weeks ago. It is limited as to how you can configure the racks in both the refrigerator and freezer sections (freezer are stationary), so still adapting to what works best where. But, keeps things frozen and cold, so that was the goal! Didn't need anything fancy.
