Great Device, but....

This is my third replacement of the Galaxy Note 5 and the same issue continues. The phone works great for a while, but then the “sim card not detected” message keeps popping up and I have to restart the device. Not to mention that the Auto Rotate feature fails 90% of the time and the phone needs to be restarted to fix this issue as well. Also the pedometer rarely works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Front screen peels off

I'm done with Samsung phones. The phone was in warranty but Samsung refused to fix this very common problem that a lot of people are having. I never dropped my phone, there are no cracks/dings, and it's never been wet but the front screen is peeling off. Big manufacturer defect and Samsung won't admit fault.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, front screen peels off

Dissappointed

Overall the phone looks great, but there is something sadly lacking. That is the Micro SD ability. I travel a lot and rely on stored songs and movies for time when wifi or cell network is not available. To lose this ability to store extra items not on the phone memory has severely impacted my decision as to purchase another Samsung cell phone. There are way too many other android based phones out there that have just as many options and still have the SD slot. I am sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I have this device through Verizon. After 10 months, the home screen button stopped working completely. I have been given 3 replacement devices in the past month, all of which have serious issues. The 1st one's screen went black, the 2nd one didn't auto-rotate, nor did the light sensor work (so removing the phone from the side of my face it would not light up unless i pressed the home key), and the 3rd one i have now has the EXACT same issues. I'm unfortunately stuck paying for this one for the next 8 months on a payment plan, but when I'm done, i will not be going back to a Samsung device after having nothing but trouble with the 4 i have received.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New sim, no removable battery, no external storage.

I got my note 5 in the mail today. On top of the known changes I found out it required a smaller SIM card than my old note4 and s5 both used. Hoping it will get better reception than my note 4, it dropped calls ALL the time. I will try to update this after I get some more time on the phone.
Pros: s-pen
Cons: no external storage, no removable battery, new style sim card
I would recommend this to a friend!

Note 5 is Excellent!

I am very pleased that I switched from a Note 4 to a Note 5. The features that have been changed/upgraded are well worth it. The S Pen features are much better, allowing the user to customize which options they want. The snapping end is entertaining along with useful. They should have done that a long time ago. Now for the S Pen "design flaw", if you can even call it that. If someone is considering not buying the phone for this very reason, I'm glad you're not because we don't want you on Samsung's side. I consider myself semi-intelligent, and if I can't figure out the way a pen goes into a phone, I've got bigger problems.
Buy the phone, the speed, the features, THE CAMERA are all excellent!
I absolutely loved my Note 2, so when I was due for an upgrade it was a no-brainer that I would get another Note. However, either I have something wrong in my settings or else it's my bad luck receiving a defective phone...because my battery life is horrible! I'm not a heavy cell phone user. I'm using this new Note 5 the exact same as I used my Note 2 and my Note 2 had WAY longer battery life! Disappointed in that, but other than that I love the size, appearance and versatility of the Note 5.
