I upgraded to this from a galaxy s4. I love the galaxy line of phones and have even upgraded some of my family members to them. The features are always the best and never disappoint. I expected no less from the Note 5, and boy was I right. The camera is fantastic. I am currently taking a photography class in college and this phone takes amazing pictures. It also helps that I can take quick notes on it without having to turn it on and open an app. This feature comes in real handy when your professor yells out last minute notes or assignments after you've put everything away and you are on your way out. I'm still learning some of the features on the phone , but if you've owned any of the phones in the galaxy line up you should be fine. It's just fun to discover those little added tricks that come with a new phone . For instance, it is so great that you can double press the home button any time whether the phone is asleep or your surfing the web and your camera will open up. I just love that. Also, the finger print scanner is awesome not just for security, but also for reading your pulse or stress level. That's just so cool. Anyways, like I said I'm still learning the note 5, but I'm totally loving it and I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone who likes to multi task, take great photos with minimal effort, and wants a phone that can grow with them, than the note 5 is definitely a great choice.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, easy to take great photo's
Cons: expensive

Stylish with a Stylus

I watched numerous product review videos and read numerous side-by-side comparisons of competing phones before deciding that to make up my mind I would have to put one in my hands to decide. The moment I saw the gorgeous and bright display, I was convinced this was the phone for me. Following are a few focused comments I have on other important attributes of the phone besides the screen:
The Screen - In addition to the above comments, I was impressed by how accurate the color rendering is with great viewing angles for watching hi-def videos. I am continually amazed at how usable the screen is in broad daylight.
Build - The build quality matches the impressive screen with a sleek look and solid feel. I would highly recommend a case though, as it tends to be a bit slippy.
Performance - The performance is zippy and I have yet to experience any lags in daily usage, even during data synchronization with apps.
OS - 2.3 TouchWiz 4.0 provides an overall very intuitive and integrated experience for me. I particularly like the option of selecting a theme, that coordinates the style across the home screen and many individual apps. It makes personalization a lot easier and more uniform.
Battery - No review for a mobile device would be complete without a comment about battery life. I am not a power user, but still use my phone frequently and tend not to use battery saver apps ( I do turn off WiFi network and Bluetooth) until I am below the 50% threshold. I also have quite a few apps synchronizing in the background. Even with a new battery, it has not been hard to deplete the batter in a full day's use. However, I normally do short charges one or twice a day, and would warrant that with a little more power economizing the battery will hold up to most people's demands.
Features - The phone has innovations that are truly practical. I love the stylus and the ability to take effortless notes without scrambling for sticky notes! The feel of the pen and the accuracy with which it renders my writing is truly impressive. There are lots of cool applications for the stylus that Samsung has included (like free hand writing to text), but for me the miniature notepad/blackboard is the one I use day in and day out.
The cordless charging is not gimmicky but the way of the future and has save me prematurely wearing out the little micro USB port before the rest of the phone.
The main detractor for me is ergonomic. The location of the fingerprint reader is less than ideal for people who prefer one-handed operation. If the reader were located on the back of the phone near the top, I could use my forefinger rather than have to shift the phone in my hand to use my thump. I'm sure the design engineers at Samsung could do it, and it I think most users would appreciate the change.
All in all, this is a terrific phone and a great value for those who love superb screens, high performance, high style, and practical features.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: not as ergonomic as it could be

I had owned a Samsung Galaxy phone before I got this Note 5. I love it and the pictures it takes are so good. The rapid charge is amazing at how fast it charges the phone and the battery life is longer than my other phone. I use this phone so much and can not leave my house with out it. Excellent choice I made !!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight

This phone is packed with so many features. I use the s-pen all the time to take notes and the camera to take pictures for work. The quality is awesome. The battery life is really great too. The only design issue I have is no removable battery, but if the battery life holds up I will be happy.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable

My step up from an S5.

I am now enjoying a great step up from an aging well-used S5. This Note 5 is a powerhouse with sharp cameras. I am still adjusting to the increase in size of the device. Select your case to help you grip the Note 5. The Pen is useful and creates things like writing on paper. I am planning to use this phone to help with productivity and communication for my work. By the end of the first week, it was a difference.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, sharp cameras, stylus
Cons: big but not too big
I would recommend this to a friend!
