When I first got this phone I was greeted by an easy set-up guide on the phone. I entered my google account info and it logged me in and synced all my apps from previous devices on my phone. After doing so I started taking some pictures. I was absolutely blown away with the quality of the photos in both low light and high light conditions. The images turned out sharp and vibrant; they looked so good that I showed a friend the picture and he couldn't believe that it was taken with a phone! The camera is amazing and Samsung's double tap to open camera feature is quite useful as well.
As a student I found this phone very helpful. In a great number of situations I found myself using this phone to help with school, such as: presentations, finals, essays, extra-curricular activities. The phones large display also makes multi-tasking a breeze so I can easily research topics while writing about them at the same time. The pen is also extremely useful, it has allowed me to take important notes about homework due dates, household tasks and upcoming tests. It is also great in making presentations as the pen is very precise.
As a media consumer I much enjoyed the large display as it allowed for much better viewing experience. It was also an upside that the display used is an super Amoled which allows for beautiful colors and deep inky blacks.
All together, this device is great for everyone, especially students!
Cons: can be difficult to hold, s-pen comes out if dropped, can be slippery, smaller battery, too many pre installed apps
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is hands down the best phone that I've ever had. Honestly, at first I didn't even want to give the Note series a try, my friend had one, the Note 3 I think it was. It just looked really big, (I believe I was on my Galaxy S4 or HTC one M8 at the time), I thought the whole stylus thing was something I would never use anyways, and even if I did like it, I figured I would lose it in no time, and just in general wasn't the least bit interested in it. Fast forward a few years later, I have my HTC and it's giving me all types of trouble, (honestly the front facing speakers were the only reason I bought it), but I knew for certain that I wanted to switch back to samsung and was faced with the decision of the S6, S6 edge, or Note 5. I said why not and took a leap of faith with the note 5. With the intentions of giving the pen an honest try, because honestly, pretty much everybody I knew who actively used the pen absolutely loved it. Turns out, I turned into one of them. The features that S Note gives you, it offers a LOT more than what's on the surface) the ability to easily and EFFECTIVELY split screen, the overall weight and feel of the phone, it's all I could have asked for and more. I absolutely love it, I've had mine for almost a year now and this Octacore processor is showing 0 signs of slowing down. Unless some other new phone absolutely blows me away, I definitely plan on remaining loyal to the Note line.
Cons: small speaker on bottom easy to cover up sideways
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone is an upgrade from a Galaxy S4. The screen size is excellent for watching videos, viewing pictures, etc. The display is very good with the super amoled screen. The S pen is a game changer that allows you to make quick notes even when the screen is off. The two negatives about this phone is the inability to remove the battery or to add a memory card. I don't use the cloud so, this is a problem. Also, if the battery goes bad or I need to take it out because of a malfunction, I can't do it. Overall, this is a great phone that allows me to do many things. I would recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: can't access battery, can't add memory card
I would recommend this to a friend!

I work in a building that is partially metal, when I get calls while at work, I have to go outside or the call will break up and I can't be heard. I live in a manufactured home and have the same problem. My Galaxy 5 never had that issue.
I've had a Note since the 3. Each Note has gotten better with each design. When upgrading I never give a thought to another manufacturer or model. I always choose the Note and I'm never disappointed.
I love the clear HD display, the customizable features, especially with the S Pen, processing speed, and flexibility with my life. I use the Note for personal and business seamlessly.
I recently switched from an iPhone to the Galaxy Note 5. The ease of a new platform has been wonderful. The camera is so amazing. I appreciate all the support that comes along with the Samsung. If you are on the fence, make the switch!
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another half-note short. The phone looks good but performance is so so. Had to turn on Advanced Calling to use Web while using phone. That's a new one. While holding the phone my hand often covers the speaker. What's up with that?
Here are things that should be standard design on AOL new phones: 1. 5.7" or larger screen 2. Front facing speakers 3. Unbreakable screens 4. Metal bodies and no glass on the back. 5. 3500+ batteries (removable) 6. Headphone jacks 7. No physical buttons for home screen. Take that wasted space, add screen real Estate and put in touch buttons. 8. Keep your company bloatware to a minimum. 9. Regular updates 10. Keep the price affordable so people can buy the phones. "You see so many, cause they sell so cheap"
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, bad speaker placement. do you do r&d?
