I've used this thing several times for comparing drinking on an empty stomach vs full, and what I've learned is, I can drink a lot more than I thought and still not exceed the legal limit!!!
Bought this product because of article in 'Car and Driver', April, 2014. It outperformed the other four units, even the Backtrack $150. unit. I've blown into it on two or there occasions and it gave fairly consistent reading based on how much I'd had to drink and how long after I'd taken the sample. For the price you won't beat it.
This Breathalyzer Saved Me From Getting A DUI In The Morning After Drinking The Night Before And Then Sleeping All Night. Recommend To Anyone Who Drinks Just To Learn How Your Body Metabolizes Alcohol.
Cost & usefulness: BACTrack was the top-rated in an independent test in Road & Track, among much more expensive competitors. Simple and easy to carry/use. Great device if only used for a CONTROLLED test at home - so one knows what each meter-level of intoxication "feels" like (observing mood, function, coordination, focus, etc.) - for future reference when out. It's also a perfect, end-of-night-out conversation piece that initiates thoughts about driving responsibilities and risks (without the meaningless cliche remarks like "are you sure you okay to drive?") Now you all know how drunk each of you are . . . so, what will you do?
This is a very nice, compact device, that fits easily in your pocket. I had a glass of Cabernet with dinner and later the BacTrack registered 0.02. The price is incredibly reasonable. I recommend it without hesitation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I keep this breathalyzer in my car. You can't beat the quality of a BACtrack breathalyzer, and this one is dirt cheap! It only has .01 precision, but for the price it is ideal to know if you are past the limit or not.
