quick and easy. Gets the job done

quick and easy to use. Instant results, seems accurate enough. A third decimal place would be nice to see how close you are to the limit!

Accurate to a point

This product is pretty good if your looking to see if you are okay to drive. It is pretty accurate from a .00 to a .12 I would say. However, no matter how much over the .12 limit you are it gets confused and is not able to read an accurate measure. If you are using it to see if you can drive or not legally its probably a good tool.

Caught Once - Never Again!

Like many people, we ran into a summer holiday road block where the local police were looking to support their DUI/DWI industry. Now we don't go out without this handy and discrete device. It's not the most accurate, but it certainly helps you to understand your own limits. Highly recommended for casual/routine use.

I discovered how close I got to being arrested. I always thought 2 glasses of wine was OK. Not so! I can drink one glass, and immediately blow 0.15. A glass of water and 15 mins later I blew 0.05, and 5 mins later 0.04. I never realised .0.5 in NY was an offense! Forget 0.08 because you're in real trouble at 0.05! The breather tube needs to be rounded on the end, so it will fit in a drinking straw, then the unit can be shared. Once people use it, they'll buy one.

Does the job

Works great for being inexpensive. Totally convenient and fits in your pocket. I got one for the wife too- it's just silly to go drinking without one- why take the chance when the numbers don't lie and it's so easy to do. My friend has another model from this website that is more expensive and a bit more accurate, but you will not find more bang for the buck than this little guy. I rated "inaccurate results" because it varies ever so slightly from the higher end model. That being said, it is definitely close enough for a proper judgement call. As a side note, now actually attaching a real number to how I feel, I will wait until well below the legal limit to drive, because for a lot of people .08 is way too high!

Use to frequently test a recovering alcoholic so there are no opportunities to lie. Works great for this purpose. Accuracy is pretty good, I've run independant experiments for my own knowledge. Word of caution- if you dont believe the result, try again. It seems like the patient i use it on can alter the results if he's really trying. Don't really know how. But even when its off, its the reading is still positive, so it doesn't really matter for our purposes. It also senses a very recent drink very high, and cough surup, by the way, has alcohol in it. Retest in 5 minutes if you dont believe the result. This device may have helped save my marriage.

I use this every time we go out to dinner or out for drinks. We make sure that one of us is under the limit to drive before we get in the car. We've double tested ourselves to check it for accuracy, and it seems to be on target each time. My husband has one too, in case we go out separately with our friends. We've been surprised at the readings sometimes! When you have a few too many, you might think you're ok to drive when you're not!
