No DUI!

DON'T HAVE TO EVER WORRY ABOUT HER GOING OUT AND POSSIBLY GETTING A DUI SINCE SHE HAS THIS WITH HER ON HER PERSON AT ALL TIMES. IT'S ALSO VERY SIMPLE TO USE.

Not Functional

I bought this breathalyzer for a friend who frequently drove under the influence without much thought. My intention was for her to have it easily accessible on her keys so she could be more aware if she had too much to drink. Unfortunetly, the BAC reader was constantly inncorrect. It would pick up BAC levels prior to anyone beginning to drink and it's number would fluctuate from .13 to .02 in less than five minutes. The product is very convenient and I would have loved for it to work but unfortunetly it is not a reliable tool to give accuracte BAC readings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent and affordable product

I highly recommend this product for anyone in a relationship with a recovering alcoholic where the trust is gone. Whenever you are suspicious, you can use this product to ease your fears. If they really love you, they will use the breathalyzer to reassure you that they are not lying. It has really helped rebuild our trust.

Works great. Easy to take anywhere

Great to have in situations where you may have had a couple drinks but want to insure you are safe to drive. When I use it I take 3 readings to make sure and each time the reading was the same or just .01 different.

Compact and seems to work well.

Small and compact. Seems to work well, though am concerned over whether or not a unit at this price gives accurate results. Rule of thumb is to add .01 to your result as the unit is rated at an accuracy of +- .01. (So if you blow a 0.05, assume you are actually at 0.06). Another issue to consider is that the instruction manual states that the unit needs to be professionally recalibrated every so often--every 6 months or so---or as often as every 1 to 2 months if you use it everyday! That seems very impractical (and costly??). My advice: Do not use it more than you have to so that you can avoid getting possible bad results and needing calibration.
