Used Turbotax since 1990

I like Turbotax because of it is easy to use. I have been using it since about 1990. I also use Quicken which makes it easy to transfer information to tax forms. The two combined are wonderful. Thanks Intuit.

Slightly Disappointed

This year's version did not do a good job of walking me through the entries of expenses for my Schedule C due to my self-employment part-time job. Much better in years past.
What's great about it: Very good overall job, step-by-step progress.
What's not so great: Didn't guide me through entering expenses for my Schedule C business.

In my opinion, there's no better way to do taxes!!!!
What's great about it: Fast and Efficient- Did my Federal and State Taxes less than 2 hours.

making tax prep less painful

After retiring and taking a new job in a different state I thought i would have to go to an accountant. Turbo tax made my tax position straightforward by asking all of the right questions
What's great about it: helped thru some complex life changes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Quick and easy

I decided at 11pm to start my taxes! I was all done and filed by 12:30am, and could have finished much earlier, but wanted to double check "my" input. Two years in a row and still a great experience without breaking the bank to pay a tax preparation service.
What's great about it: No question left unanswered
What's not so great: Couldn't find anything negative

Ridiculous

there's always a hassle running the computer cd version. having to externally log into turbotax.com instead of just doing it on the software itself to get the most random information and then having the frustration with the software not letting you file unless you update it and having to fool around with the irs website for some stupid pin. total hassle. may not purchase again next year. not even easy to leave this review

Taxes Made Easy

In the past, I have done my own taxes and I have also used a professional Tax Accountant. About 5 years ago at the urging of several friends, I tried TurboTax, and I'll never do my taxes in any other way! It is very easy and there is lots of help available through the program. This is the best way to do your taxes and get it right!!!!
What's great about it: Simply follow the step by step direction, and anyone can do it.
What's not so great: None, That I have found
