Problems with this years version of Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for the past few years and this year's version had the most problems. The biggest being unable to automatically update Turbo Tax as well as downloading State. Luckily the phone support staff was very helpful and patient with me in resolving this issue. With that being said the program worked flawlessly and I shall keep using this program in the future.
What's great about it: easy of use

Excellent Application

This is the only application that I have been using for the past 9 years to do our taxes. It is easy to understand and navigate through the steps.

software 'update' download required repeatedly

I purchased turbo tax deluxe from a retail source, which provided me with a dvd but no electronic download capability. After installing the Turbo Tax software initially, the system asked that it be updated on-line,which was fine. However each time I returned in subsequent weeks to continue work on my 2015 return, the software required an unnecessary 'update' even though no updates were required for state taxes or fed taxes. So I ended up having to sit through downloading of updates at least 3 times before finishing my return.
That is not acceptable.
What's great about it: interactive help
What's not so great: required multiple unnecessary updates for 2015

I have been using turbo tax for years, however I don't think that we should have to pay such a high price year after year since updates are relatively easy from the government. I think new users should have to pay full price repeat customers should pay half price. Also, if you work in 2 states having to pay for multiple states is a big chunk of money and should be written off as tax expense.
What's great about it: Easy to use - carry over from previous year
What's not so great: Have to pay for full price each year

What's great about it: easy to understand prompts, logical progression through tax preparation
What's not so great: very minor inconvenience, but my financial institution not listed
