While I am some what knowledgeable in the area of personal taxes, the software fills the gaps. Help was there when I needed it. I do not stay current with changes in the tax code. Turbo tax does. I feel that we are paying the right amount, as required by the code. I think that the program flows nicely for a non-tech. You do not need to be a "Steve Jobs" to use it.

Easy to use. Prompts to complete sections made sense.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Walkthrough View and Form View made it simple to know where everything was going.

2015 Taxes

another easy year for taxes completed. Turbo Tax is super easy to use and complete taxes. Allows me to auto download W-2 info and compares everything I did to the prior year so I do not miss a thing.
What's great about it: Super easy, allows you to compare to previous year, import prior year, easy help
What's not so great: Issues saving file on mac
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Missing Cover Sheet

As usual, Turbotax is easy to use.
One issue: there is no summary cover sheet for the federal return. The state return had the summary sheet.
I find that very useful.
What's great about it: Very easy to use

No user friendly to print state and city returns if I don't eFile.

TurboTax does a thorough walk-through of your financial situation to ensure the software captures the tax implications. Over the years I have bought, rented, and sold houses; changed businesses; retired from the military; changed state residency; and a handful of one-time, out of the ordinary financial transactions. TurboTax always captured these things and flawlessly incorporated them into my return. I like how their security is keeping up, and making tax payments and refunds as painless as possible.
What's great about it: I have always liked the thorough walk-through of every possible tax and financial situation
What's not so great: none!
