simple and quick

Even though my taxes are simple because I don't have a lot of deductions Turbo Tax makes it so easy to file and get things done. I have used Turbo Tax for years now and recommend it to friends and family. Its probably the same software as a tax preparer uses so why not do it yourself.
What's great about it: very easy to do your own taxes

Good, but...

On my third visit to the software, it failed to come back to the last visited module. Because of this, I had to search for the location to enter my IRS-provided PIN (we had our taxes filed by someone else last year - identity theft). While entering ID theft information for my wife, the software locked up three times in the same spot. After repairing my data file, I left that section incomplete. It did not interfere with the filing process.
What's great about it: Covered the new security protocols of state ID, and had the place to enter an IRS-supplied PIN.
What's not so great: Failed to totally walk me through all sections.

So Easy

The advertising was right. The prompts made this daunting process so easy I actually enjoyed doing my own taxes this year. Best purchase I've made so far this year.

Very easy to use, quick method for filing especially if not itemizing. Even then software walks you through every step.

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
