Been using T-Tax for years

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. I find it to be an easy way to get my taxes done. In the past, our taxes were more complicated, but the software always got me through it. E-filing is great, too.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Walks you through everything.
What's not so great: Sometimes it's difficult to find the information I need.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Consistent High Quality Job

Standard TurboTax excellent job.
Nice to see the option to not print Federal 1040-ES forms. (IRS provides them with envelopes every year even if you efile.) The only section that gave me a problem this year was the handling of the foreign tax paid. I had some, but the 1099-DIVs don't provide the "foreign income' on which they are based; only the total income and taxes for each specific fund.
What's great about it: Makes dealing with tax laws much easier
What's not so great: Prints a lot of stuff; some could be left in the PDF file(s)

The only hiccup I encountered was dealing with itemized deductions in Schedule A. It would have helped to have an up-front definition or description to help determine whether I took the standard deduction last year. As it is I had to go at it backwards and select the standard deduction only after determining that neither box 5a nor box 5b existed in my Schedule A -- meaning that I had not itemized last year. Could have saved me 15 minutes (10 minutes of web searches and 5 minutes of complete frustration/confusion).

Keeps getting better

What's great about it: Very logical, step by step really helps
What's not so great: No problems this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Makes it easy

Still love using this program for our taxes. Easy to use walkthroughs make sure we get everything we are entitled to. Free efile is a nice change as well.
But how is it the web version will not import from last year's TurboTax? This should be a standard feature.
What's great about it: The walktrhroughs insure you don't miss anything
What's not so great: The web version will not import from a previous Turb0Tax return? Really?!?!?

Need a fix

I prefer to file my state return in hard copy. but if I file federal by e-file, i have to play with the state return in order to get the hard copy for filing and not e-filing. Choice should be seperated.
Federal return: O efile O mail
State Return: O efile O mail
What's great about it: easy and understandable
What's not so great: need to be able to choose e-file vs. mail return seperately for fed and state

Appreciate the phenomenal services of Steve Victor of customer service. He was highly knowledgeable, patient, provided significant guidance for the system. He solved a number of issues that came up in the reviews. As a result he made me a customer for life with Turbo Tax.
